Put It Away

ORGANIZATION AT WORK OR HOME
ARROZ Y LECHE OR Rice Milk
In a large pot, put 2 cups of rice to cook with about 8 cups of water. Add 2-3 sticks of cinnamon.
Cook the rice on a low boil until it is soft.
DO NOT ADD ANY MILK OR SUGAR UNTIL THE RICE IS SOFT AND FULLY COOKED!!
Add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk.
Stir in 1/2-3/4 cups of brown sugar and 1 T Mexican vanilla.
Keep on low and add white sugar to taste and regular milk until it is a consistency that you like.
Some people like it thick and gooey, others like it runny.
You can add raisins, blueberries, etc.
This is a really easy cheap treat, although, we eat it for breakfast, as a snack, anytime.
If it get too thick (even over night in the fridge) you just add more milk and stir it.
I also buy a stick of hard brown cane sugar in the Mexican stores and scrape off some of the sugar into the rice puddin' to give it a Spanish taste.
